Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Quality Improvement Engineer in Cardiff to lead quality initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role focuses on reducing defects, enhancing process performance and delivering corrective actions across departments.

You will analyse data trends, investigate issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise quality standards. A salary up to £62,000 plus a 10% bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
• Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, or similar methodologies.
• Confident working with stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver change.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality improvement projects to reduce defects and improve process performance.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyse quality data and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve quality standards and operational performance.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing Cost of Quality and improving process robustness.
