Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Quality Governance Manager for our Hospital Shepton Mallet site. You will lead governance activities to ensure patient safety, incident management and continuous improvement across clinical and non-clinical services.

You will oversee reporting, risk registers and regulatory activities, line manage the Governance Administrator and Patient Feedback Coordinator, and collaborate with senior leaders to embed a culture of learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare governance, patient safety, risk management, complaints or quality improvement.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, incident reporting, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate local governance arrangements.
• Manage governance systems: incidents, complaints, risk and quality reporting.
• Support investigation and learning responses for patient safety events.
• Produce governance reports, dashboards and QA documentation.
• Monitor clinical outcomes; identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and report on organisational risk registers.
• Support regulatory inspections, accreditation and contract reviews.
• Lead complaints and claims management processes.
• Provide governance advice to senior leaders and operational teams.
• Support quality improvement and service transformation initiatives.
