Job description

Quality & Environmental Coordinator

This role involves performing day-to-day functions aligned with the quality management system, with a particular focus on environmental compliance to ensure the business remains compliant.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure understanding and compliance with all current legislation, and update the Environmental Management Systems accordingly.
2. Communicate legislative changes throughout the business and retain records as evidence of compliance.
3. Audit compliance using internal systems and cross-reference with standards to maintain certification.
4. Stay informed on legislative changes, seek professional support when necessary, and implement relevant actions.
5. Monitor material usage, ensure control measures for compliance and safety, and maintain up-to-date safety data sheets.
6. Respond to customer requests related to environmental impact for bidding purposes.
7. Perform goods inward inspections of bespoke items at Rapiscan or supplier sites.
8. Support in-process quality control inspections.
9. Record all non-conformance instances and manage their resolution, including concessions and deviations.
10. Assist in managing quarantined goods (MRB/RMA).
11. Raise and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and other supplier quality activities, including site visits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in a quality control environment
• Proactive attitude, self-motivated, with good literacy, numeracy, IT, and communication skills
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Clean driving license and own vehicle with business-class insurance
