Job summary

CNH Industrial Basildon Plant seeks a Quality Engineering Intern to support product and process quality in manufacturing. You will work with experienced engineers to resolve daily issues, lead structured problem solving, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the plant.

This is an excellent hands‑on opportunity in a fast‑paced, world‑class manufacturing environment, with exposure to driverless tech and electrification initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical) or equivalent.
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Genuine interest in manufacturing, product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Fluent in English; other languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of CNH Industrial products and high quality standards.
• Learn production processes and components within your area.
• Identify quality losses and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address non-conformities and drive improvements.
• Manage project activities through the Plant Operating System and maintain documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing and Production to resolve quality concerns.

As a Quality Engineering Intern at the Basildon Tractor Plant, you will play a key role in supporting product and process quality for our manufacturing operations. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to resolve daily quality issues, lead structured problem-solving activities, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the plant. Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of CNH Industrial products and the high quality standards expected by our customers.
• Gain knowledge of the production processes and components within your assigned area.
• Identify quality losses and lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Collaborate effectively with suppliers to address non-conformities and drive improvements.
• Manage project activities through the Plant Operating System and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and advancement of improvement projects.

Experience Required

• Currently studying for or recently completed a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical).
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A genuine interest in manufacturing, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to lead where appropriate.
• Able to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrates curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
