Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is representing a well-established engineering business in Preston seeking a Quality Inspector on a path to Quality Engineer. The role offers a four‑day week, overtime opportunities, enhanced holidays and a strong training plan to progress to Quality Engineer level.

You will inspect precision components for aerospace, rail and motorsport clients. Ideally you will have experience in metrology tools such as Vernier calipers, CMMs and micrometres and be commutable to

• Willingness to train up to Quality Engineer level.

Quality Inspector (Training to Quality Engineer)

£35,000 – £40,000 +4 day working week + enhanced holidays + enhanced pension + overtime opportunities

The role:

• Training to Quality Engineer level
• Using Vernier Callipers, CMM’s and Micrometres to ensure parts meet quality specifications
• Inspecting precision engineering parts

The person:

• Quality Inspector or similar
• Preferably experience with Vernier callipers, CMM’S or micrometres
• Manufacturing/Precision engineering background (preferred)
• Commutable to Preston
