Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group in Dundee seeks a Quality Engineer to work on highly technical, defence and aerospace components within a small QA team. You will design and maintain QA protocols and drive quality improvements across production processes.

The role focuses on data-driven analysis, investigations into nonconformances, and ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO and Six Sigma standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and investigation skills, ideally using DMAIC or 8D.
• Ability to understand highly technical products and components.
• Comfortable managing conflicting demands and building relationships across a business.
• Internal audit experience and exposure to Lean 6 Sigma would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain quality assurance protocols for materials and finished products
• Develop inspection and testing methods to evaluate production accuracy and precision
• Analyse production data and reports to identify trends and recommend standard updates
• Lead investigations into nonconformances, customer complaints and improvement projects
