Job summary

Plexus is hiring a Quality Engineer II to drive product compliance, root cause analysis and quality assurance across our manufacturing operations. Based at either Livingston or Kelso, you will lead non-conformance resolution, manage customer complaints and ensure alignment with customer specs, regulatory requirements and industry standards.

You will oversee CAPA, AVIs, ECOs and build robust validation plans, while coaching technicians and operators on quality procedures to embed a strong quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of quality/manufacturing experience.
  • Structured problem-solving skills and data analysis.
  • Ability to design, document, and control repeatable processes.
  • Cross-functional leadership and SME capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QMS metrics and audits, CAPA discussions and closures.
  • Ensure ABIs and ECOs meet standards; maintain Master Validation Plans.
  • Monitor operations, address quality concerns, and perform inspections.
  • Own customer complaint resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Train operators on compliance procedures.

Plexus is seeking a Quality Engineer II to drive product compliance, root cause analysis, and quality assurance across our manufacturing operations. Based at either our Livingston or Kelso facility, you will lead non-conformance resolution, manage customer complaints, and ensure full alignment with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Quality Management & Audit Oversight: Lead the development and deployment of QMS metrics to monitor process health. Support internal, external customer, and QMS recertification/surveillance audits. Lead product-related CAPA discussions and closures.
  • Product Compliance & Validation: Ensure Assembly Build Instructions (ABIs) meet strict standards. Approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), deviations, and build guidelines. Lead the creation, execution, and maintenance of Master Validation Plans.
  • Manufacturing & Inspection Support: Monitor ongoing operations to rapidly address quality concerns, issue alerts, and execute purges or containment when needed. Establish inspection strategies for receiving, pre-ship, and out-of-box audits, ensuring complete Quality History Documentation and Certificates of Compliance.
  • Non-Conformance & Root Cause Leadership: Own customer complaint resolution and non-conformance management from initial containment through structured root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Quality Culture & Training: Build and embed quality awareness on the shop floor. Train and educate operators and production associates on compliance procedures, verifying training and inspection effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant quality/manufacturing experience preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience).
  • Technical & Problem Solving: Demonstrated skill using structured problem-solving tools, systemic data analysis, and experimental design to resolve technical and organizational challenges.
  • Operational Design: Ability to design, document, and control repeatable processes within economic, health, and safety constraints.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong cross-functional project leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor technicians and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned systems.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a proactive, decision-making mindset.
Working Environment

This role directly supports operational teams in a manufacturing environment. Tasks involve walking the shop floor, inspecting and troubleshooting jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods, alongside computer-based technical documentation and cross-functional team collaboration.
