NG Bailey is seeking an Electrically Biased Quality Control Engineer to join our team in Central Scotland, with travel to project sites across the region. You will ensure electrical installations meet the highest quality and safety standards, developing and implementing QC processes and inspection plans.

You should have solid experience in electrical building services, supervisory roles, and relevant qualifications (CSCS, IOSH, CDM/SMSTS).

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an electrical engineer or supervisor.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems in building services.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
• Knowledge of installation methods compliant with standards.
• CSCS Card, IOSH, CDM, and SMSTS certifications.

Responsabilités

• Promote a culture of safety in all project activities.
• Develop project-specific Quality Control Management Systems (QCMS).
• Ensure all MEP systems have an inspection and test plan with tracking.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure specifications are met.
• Review supplier quality and ensure subcontractors follow procedures.
• Coordinate QC and commissioning action plans with teams.
• Conduct regular audits and escalate non-conformances.

About the Role

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrically Biased Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic team at NG Bailey. In this pivotal role, you will support electrical building service projects across Scotland, ensuring that our installations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety by demonstrating health and safety awareness in all project activities.
• Collaborate with operations and commissioning teams to develop project-specific Quality Control Management Systems (QCMS).
• Ensure all MEP systems are covered by an inspection and test plan, tracking production, approval, and completion.
• Monitor installation progress and conduct surveillance to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Engage with design and operations teams to utilize NG Bailey's suppliers effectively.
• Review the quality of our supply chain, ensuring subcontractors adhere to internal procedures.
• Verify the use of NGB approved products and materials, including factory witness testing of major equipment.
• Ensure team qualifications and competencies are maintained, providing training and toolbox talks as needed.
• Conduct regular audits, identifying and escalating non-conformances or defects.
• Provide insightful project reviews and reports, coordinating with teams to create QC and commissioning action plans.
