Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers to lead delivery on building services projects across Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Doncaster and Chesterfield. You will ensure works meet specifications, safety standards, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience in mechanical/electrical installations in construction and hold relevant trade or professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical/electrical installations within construction.
• Trade or professional qualification relevant to mechanical/electrical building services.
• Ability to lead on-site delivery and manage teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery to ensure works are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction.
• Review project scope of works to meet customer requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and exploit opportunities within your control.
• Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely progress reports to stakeholders.

Job description

We have some exciting new opportunities for mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers, to join our team, working on projects across the Yorkshire region. This role will primarily cover projects across Sheffield, Doncaster or Chesterfield. In this role you will play a key part in leading the delivery of this project, being responsible for ensuring that all activities within your area of control are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction. This is a permanent staff role with NG Bailey, and the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain security clearance once in post. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Ensuring that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project
• Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability
• Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer's requirements
• Lead/contribute to the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control
• Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the relevant stakeholders
• Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable.
• Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Ensure project is closed out in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability,

• To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of mechanical/electrical installations, in a construction environment, and previous experience in a similar role.
