Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers to deliver projects across the Yorkshire region, including Sheffield, Doncaster and Chesterfield. This permanent role requires ability to obtain security clearance and delivers safety, profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will lead the project team, manage site progress and coordinate with stakeholders while applying your mechanical/electrical installation experience on

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of mechanical/electrical installations on construction projects.
• Experience in a senior project engineering or lead role.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Knowledge of building services projects and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects and ensure work is to specification and safe.
• Provide on-site progress reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage subcontract resources where applicable.
• Lead project team and maximise performance to meet objectives.
• Develop customer relationships and ensure profitability.
• Identify risks and opportunities and mitigate where possible.
• Review scope of works to meet customer requirements.

Job description

We have some exciting new opportunities for mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers, to join our team, working on projects across the Yorkshire region. This role will primarily cover projects across Sheffield, Doncaster or Chesterfield. In this role you will play a key part in leading the delivery of this project, being responsible for ensuring that all activities within your area of control are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction. This is a permanent staff role with NG Bailey, and the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain security clearance once in post. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Ensuring that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project
• Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability
• Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer’s requirements
• Lead/contribute to the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control
• Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the relevant stakeholders
• Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable.
• Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of mechanical/electrical installations, in a construction environment, and previous experience in a similar role.
