Job Description
Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, is seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract position to be based onsite in Luton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer advice, support, and assistance on all Quality Assurance / Quality Control matters.
- Contribute actively to IPT requirements, delivering a compliant product on time while meeting all cost and safety requirements.
- Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Audit the Business Management System (BMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards.
- Support the reduction of Non-Conformance costs and foster a root cause and corrective action culture.
- Implement Assurance function's improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product, and Project Lifecycle.
- Positively influence quality behaviours using effective interpersonal skills.
- Attend and contribute to key meetings, including IPT, functional, Operations, and Engineering meetings.
- Ensure concessions and production permits are processed correctly and promptly, directly supporting where required.
- Support achievement of project assurance milestones within the Programme, Product, and Project lifecycle.
- Assist in delivering reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project, and function as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management within the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards.
- Significant understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in quality auditing and non-conformance cost reduction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Relevant engineering or quality assurance qualification.
