The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing supply chain project quality activities for BWRX-300 UK project.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform quality execution activities for BWRX-300 project focusing on quality control of the procurement activities.
- Work proactively with suppliers and GEH engineering organizations to define specific quality requirements, including development of inspection, verification, and qualification processes, in addition to tests and processes to assure products and services meet the GEH and customer quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work proactively with suppliers to resolve quality concerns applying technical and quality expertise to deliver project quality requirements.
- Execute supplier Hold and Witness points and supplier quality surveillances.
- Disposition of supplier non-conforming products
- Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures
- Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective action processes.
- Must be willing to travel to supplier sites as required. (Up to 50%)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or masters degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
- Significant experience leading complex projects and providing quality guidance/ direction to contributing functions.
- Excellent technical writing skills and oral communication skills, with the ability to create technical reports suitable for a wide range of audiences.
- Proven experience with Regulated Quality programs.

- Experience with Nuclear customers, suppliers, industry programs and competitive environments.
- Exhibit a strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Experience in conducting quality inspections of equipment, components, or systems to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Nuclear welding and non-destructive examination processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of UK Quality Management systems.
