Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the Quality team in maintaining IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance while driving continuous improvement across the business. This hands-on role partners with Production, Engineering and Quality to investigate quality concerns, support NPI activities, and enhance supplier quality performance.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering.
• Experience in Automotive, Aerospace or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Automotive Core Tools.
• Experience with inspection methods, MSA, CMMs and GD&T.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Audit-trained (IATF 16949 Lead Auditor desirable).
• Able to work independently and build cross-functional relationships.

Job description

This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to investigate quality concerns, support NPI activities, develop supplier quality performance and ensure the highest standards of product quality are achieved.

About You

• Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering.

• Salary up to £45,000+ DOE.
• 9‑day fortnight (every other Friday off).
• 13 weeks full company sick pay, then 13 weeks half pay.
• August and Christmas factory shutdowns.
