Job summary

Owen Daniels Consultancy are working with a leading manufacturing business in Runcorn, Cheshire, to hire a Contract Quality Engineer for a 3-month contract. The role supports the recovery of the internal audit programme, PFMEAs, and customer requalification submissions.

The successful candidate will bring IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification, PFMEA/Control Plans expertise, and a strong QA background in manufacturing or automotive environments.

Qualifications

• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification from a recognised body.
• Practical experience with PFMEA, Control Plans and AIAG/VDA Core Tools.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments is essential.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and internal auditing.
• Ability to work independently and meet defined deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complete outstanding internal audits and update audit documentation.
• Review and update PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Support approval of revised quality documentation.
• Prepare and submit customer annual requalification package.
• Support corrective actions and follow-up activities.
• Provide full handover of completed activities and outstanding actions.

Owen Daniels Consultancy are working with a leading manufacturing business who are seeking an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract.

The successful candidate will support the recovery of the internal audit programme, review PFMEAs and Control Plans, and manage a customer requalification submission.

Contract Quality Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

• Complete outstanding internal audits and update audit documentation.
• Review and update existing PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Support the review and approval of revised quality documentation.
• Prepare and submit a customer annual requalification package.
• Support corrective actions and follow-up activities.
• Provide a full handover of completed activities and outstanding actions.

Contract Quality Engineer - Requirements:

• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification from a recognised body.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
