Quality Engineer
Location -Redditch, Worcestershire
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Quality Engineer to act as a key interface between our company and one of our key customers, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the day-to-day customer interface for all quality-related matters
Lead and develop continuous improvement initiatives based on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ensure compliance with both internal quality standards and specific customer requirements
Establish and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
Support and enhance the company’s reputation for delivering exceptional quality
Essential Skills and Experience
Solid understanding and application of Quality Engineering tools and methodologies
Technically orientated with the ability to quickly grasp new products and processes
Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
Flexible and structured approach to problem-solving
Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Strong negotiation and organisational abilities
Ability to contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) processes with a focus on built-in quality
Role Requirements
Background in Manufacturing and Engineering with experience in quality
Proven experience working with OEMs and demanding customers
Willingness to travel for customer visits, including overseas
Lead the problem-solving process (including VDA 8D reports)
Approve changes, deviations, and concessions in manufacturing processes
Support customer quality meetings, audits, and escalations
Manage PPAP submissions in line with internal and customer schedules
Authority to stop/restart production in case of non-conforming outputs
Qualifications
Degree-qualified professional engineer (preferred)
Familiarity with Core Tools (AIAG and/or VDA)
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (or equivalent statistical experience)
Internal/External Auditor certification to IATF16949 / ISO 9001 (preferred)
Valid driving licence and passport required
