Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in the UK is seeking a Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer (ISO 9001) to maintain and improve the Quality Management System within a growing pharma manufacturing environment. You will conduct audits, investigate non‑conformances, and lead root cause analysis using structured tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D.

The role is office‑based, with 37.5 hours per week and typical Monday–Friday hours; you will support reporting of quality metrics and assist

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment within a Quality role.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (or similar quality standard), corrective actions and non-conformance management.
• Comfortable using problem-solving tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ISO 9001 and UKAS requirements.
• Support and conduct audits, ensuring compliance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Investigate non-conformances and customer/supplier quality issues using structured RCA tools.
• Report quality metrics and assist with customer/supplier quality investigations.

37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Are you a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer looking for a technically varied role where you can develop your expertise across ISO 9001, audits, investigations and continuous improvement within a growing pharma manufacturing environment?

On offer is a permanent, office-based position where you will play a key part in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, supporting internal teams, and working closely with customers and suppliers to drive quality performance.

You will be joining a well-established engineering / manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and a culture focused on continuous improvement.

Due to ongoing requirements within the Quality function, they are now looking to add to their specialist team.

In this role you will conduct and support QMS audits, investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis using 5 Why / Fishbone / 8D and similar tools, and ensure actions are captured and closed out. You will also support reporting of quality metrics and assist with customer complaint investigations.

This role would suit a Quality Engineer from a manufacturing or engineering background looking to take on more responsibility, broaden their quality skillset and build long-term technical development.

The Role:

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ISO 9001 and UKAS requirements
• Support and conduct audits, ensuring compliance and identifying improvement opportunities
• Investigate non-conformances and customer/supplier quality issues using structured RCA tools
• Office-based, standard Monday to Thursday hours with an early finish on Friday

The Person:

• Experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment within a Quality role
