Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quality Engineer for a fast-growing electro-mechanical SME near Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire. You will own quality on the shopfloor, lead root-cause investigations, and drive improvements to the QMS.

Responsibilities include leading FMEA/8D/5 Whys investigations, working with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers and customers to prevent recurrence and ensure ISO 9001 alignment. Commutable within 15 miles of Ashby.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing with a complex BOM across mechanical and electrical components.
• Proven root cause analysis experience within engineering/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

• Lead investigations into defects, process failures and customer concerns.
• Drive fast, effective action on non-conforming parts and containment to permanent fixes.

The Quality engineer jobs role

• Own quality on the shopfloor — leading from the front in daily cross-functional meetings and pushing issues through to closure.
• Drive fast, effective action on non-conforming parts and quality concerns, from containment through to root cause and permanent fix.
• Partner with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers and customers to solve problems quickly and stop repeat issues at source.
• Turn data into action — spotting trends, challenging assumptions and identifying smarter ways to improve performance.
• Lead investigations into defects, process failures and customer concerns, translating lessons learned into practical improvements.
• Support audits and keep quality activities aligned with ISO 9001 requirements and wider business standards.
• Build confidence across the business to raise issues early, challenge the norm and improve every day.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer candidate who is:

• A quality engineer from a manufacturing background (ideally with a complex BOM across mechanical and electrical components but we are flexible - providing you have some good root cause experience within engineering/manufacturing)
• Passionate about quality and improvement. Friendly and wanting to work in a fast paced medium sized manufacturing business where you can have real variety and impact right across the business
• Within 15 miles of Ashby De la Zouch Leicestershire
