Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a hands-on role in a precision engineering environment based in Coalville, Leicestershire.
The role focuses on maintaining quality across manufacturing processes, inspecting parts and driving improvements rather than heavy QMS management. The ideal candidate has a practical mindset, experience with height gauges and verniers, and a background in CNC or fabrication.
Fantastic and unique opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector who enjoys hands on activities.
Would suit someone from a precision engineering or light fabrication background.
Working within growing business with an excellent reputation for retaining their staff.
We are working in partnership with an engineering business with a strong reputation within their market. As a Quality Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring day to day quality is maintained throughout the different manufacturing processes. This is a largely hands on/practical quality driven role which involves inspection of parts, implementing new ideas to minimise future defects, and addressing quality earlier on into the process to help drive down costs/waste. There is less of an emphasis in terms of managing the QMS and more about someone being operationally driven.
Preferably you will come from a precision engineering or fabrication background, but we can possibly consider a wider manufacturing background.
Salary: c£40,000 to £43,000 per annum as a guide. 32 days holiday including banks which rises by an additional day each year up to 36 days. Additional bonuses paid. Health and well being cover.
An experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector with a practical mindset when it comes to reviewing and performing quality processes within manufacturing.
Comfortable using height gauges, verniers, and other metrology equipment.
Preferably from a CNC / Fabrication background.
Happy working within a small team and culturally aligned to help support across a range of wider tasks where required.
Confident to drive improvements and changes by working with the manufacturing team.
The company has a proven track record of developing their staff which is reflected in the length of tenure throughout the team.
A core culture that focuses on employees and values them as individuals, not just a number.
Chance to implement your own ideas and drive real positive changes within an engineering environment.
Carry out and oversee hands on quality inspections of components, fabrications, assemblies and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
Verify that products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, inspection plans and customer requirements.
Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections, as required.
Review existing quality control procedures, inspection methods and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Work with production and engineering teams to improve process capability, consistency and overall product quality.
