Auxo Advanced Engineering is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a specialist manufacturer in Heanor. You will be the go-to quality expert in your production area, working with process engineers, supervisors and operators to improve product quality and prevent repeat issues.

Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, you will carry out audits, investigate issues using 8D and root cause analysis, and implement practical corrective actions on the shop floor.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with internal audits, corrective & preventive actions, document control and non-conformance investigations.
• Ability to work with production and engineering teams to solve problems and explain quality requirements.
• Bachelor-level education or equivalent.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive or motorsport manufacturing is a plus (AS9100/IATF16949/Nadcap/SAP familiarity).

Are you a Quality Engineer who enjoys getting onto the shop floor, finding out why a problem keeps happening and working with production to fix it?

Auxo Advanced Engineering is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist manufacturer in Heanor. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, you'll be the go-to person for quality in your production area, working closely with process engineers, supervisors and operators to improve product quality and prevent repeat issues.

The Role

• Carry out shop-floor and process audits to spot quality issues early.
• Investigate customer complaints, internal non-conformances and audit findings using 8D and root cause analysis.
• Turn findings into practical corrective actions, including mistake-proofing solutions, and use quality data to identify recurring issues.
• Support customer audits, certification visits and reviews of customer specifications.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes and APQP/PPAP activities.
• Help production teams understand quality procedures and put them into practice through training and clear documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Around 3-5 years' experience in quality assurance within manufacturing, with working knowledge of an ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Experience with internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, document control and non-conformance investigations.
• Confidence working with production and engineering teams to solve problems and explain quality requirements clearly.
• Degree-level education or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive or motorsport manufacturing would be useful, as would familiarity with AS9100, IATF 16949, Nadcap or SAP.
