Job summary

Servomex in Crowborough, East Sussex, UK, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing and business processes across UKTC Operations, NVI and VE activities. This site‑based role offers stability and opportunities for growth.

You will lead process improvement projects, coach teams in structured problem‑solving, monitor KPI trends, manage customer complaints, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Quality Engineer – Crowborough, East Sussex, UK – Full Time, Permanent, 38 Hours per Week, Site‑Based Role

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support the development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing and business processes across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction (NVI) and Value Engineering (VE) activities.
• Drive manufacturing improvements through structured problem‑solving activities and coaching of manufacturing teams.
• Monitor, analyse and report quality‑related KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage and support the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and improve manufacturing process controls.
• Lead process and product improvement projects.
• Support compliance with Servomex quality assurance standards and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience implementing process controls and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to coach and mentor others in structured problem‑solving techniques.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with the drive to deliver sustainable improvements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing.
• Experience within electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing environments.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
• Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate.
• SAP and Minitab.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
