Job summary

Servomex in Crowborough, East Sussex, UK, is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, drive quality performance and support business growth. This role requires practical problem solving, collaboration with engineering teams and a proactive approach to delivering measurable improvements.

You will lead structured analysis, develop and sustain process controls, monitor quality KPIs and coach teams across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction and Value Engineering,

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Strong QA methodologies, tools and techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience implementing process controls and quality improvements.
Ability to coach others in structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Support development and sustainment of manufacturing processes across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction (NVI) and Value Engineering (VE) activities.
Drive manufacturing improvements through structured problem-solving activities and coaching of manufacturing teams.
Monitor, analyse and report quality-related KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Manage and support the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and improve manufacturing process controls.
Lead process and product improvement projects.
Support compliance with Servomex quality assurance standards and best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience implementing process controls and quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to coach and mentor others in structured problem‑solving techniques.
A practical, hands‑on approach with the drive to deliver sustainable improvements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing.
Experience within electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing environments.
New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate.
SAP and Minitab.
Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent experience.
HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
