Job description

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Samlesbury / Warton (Full-time onsite)

Salary: £41,361+ depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing assurance against the quality management system & regulatory standards by conducting audits of stamp holders working in the various production environments at Warton.
  • Supporting the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner, and providing information for relevant reviews.
  • Supporting the implementation of quality improvement activities and promoting the 'zero defect' philosophy.
  • Supporting Senior Quality Engineers in liaising between internal & external stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensuring all non-conformance management processes are followed.
  • Involvement in populating quality performance metrics for reporting to the management team.
  • Driving schedule adherence, trend analysis, and promoting best practices across the business.
  • Contributing to the development, deployment, and maintenance of the Management System, including quality policy and processes.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience within aerospace products and/or processes.
  • Experience with toolsets such as Six Sigma or Lean.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 rev D.
  • Relevant apprenticeship or degree.
