Role Summary

As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of our QHSE function and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s QMS, as well as acting as a key interface for Quality, with both internal and external customers. As part of your role, there will also be Inspection-related tasks which you are required to deliver.

Key Accountabilities

• The identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities across the manufacturing site, branches, and suppliers.
• Administration and resolution of customer complaints including RCA and CAPA.
• Implementation and maintenance of process controls to support manufacturing processes, including quality plans, ITP and SOP's.
• Manage internal QMS and process audits.
• Monitor, measure and improve internal scrap and rework.
• Inspect and verify supplier initial samples.
• Collection and reporting of internal NCR data.
• Inspection, test and release activities as required, using standard engineering measuring equipment.
• Engage in Health, Safety & Environmental activities / tasks.
• Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
• Rational thinker
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

Qualifications / Experience

• Time served experience in similar roles within similar industries
• Experience of reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
• Mechanical Engineering qualification - Apprenticeship or similar
