Quality Engineer - Onsite

12 Month Contract

Pay Rate - 23.96 per hour

Location - Skelmersdale

My client is a global manufacturer seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating and performing quality activities that lead to new or improved processes or systems at a program level.

Your responsibilities in the role

1. Initiate and complete technical activities for new or improved products, processes, or systems impacting the program significantly.
2. Establish and maintain a network of resources across laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing to facilitate project completion.
3. Participate in project planning, help establish objectives and priorities, and identify quality improvement opportunities. Conduct and lead inter-laboratory test method studies, and plan and lead quality system and process audits.
4. Document results, observations, and conclusions in technical notebooks or electronic files. Prepare reports for communication. May also train, counsel, and guide team members.

Skills and Experience

Basic knowledge of quality systems such as Quality Manuals, ISO-9000, MBNQ, metrology, calibration, and audits. Proficiency in basic statistical tools like exploratory data analysis, Gage R&R, Analysis of Variance, FMEA, SPC, and Capability. Familiarity with intermediate-level statistical and quality engineering tools such as acceptance sampling, correlation and regression, and experimental design. Awareness of advanced statistical tools like response surface designs, modeling, and optimization.
