Job summary

AMFRESH is recruiting a Quality Controller for our Alconbury Weald site (PE28 4WY). The role is permanent and weekly-paid, offering consistent hours, long-term growth, and a supportive team in a busy fresh foods operation.

You will inspect incoming raw materials, ensure products meet customer specifications, meet monthly KPIs on compliance, accuracy and productivity, and provide concise quality reports. Shift pattern is 4on, 4off, 07:00–19:00, with a pay rate of £13.70 per hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in food quality control is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

About The Role

We are recruiting for a Quality Controller at our Alconbury Weald site (PE28 4WY). This is a permanent, weekly-paid position, providing consistent work, reliable hours, and long-term growth opportunities within a thriving business.

• Shift Pattern: 4on, 4off - 07:00 to 19:00
• Hourly Rate: £13.70 (paid weekly)

As an AMFRESH Quality Controller, you will:

• Inspect and record all raw materials.
• Ensure all products meet customer specifications.
• Meet monthly KPIs on compliance, accuracy, and productivity.
• Ensure serious quality issues found, are reported to managers.
• Provide Quality Inspection Reports on all incoming raw materials to our Procurement team.
• Complete regular reports via paper or on a tablet.

About You

To be a successful Quality Controller, the qualities we are looking for are:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and carry out tasks in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in both Excel and Word.
• Previous experience in a food quality role is beneficial.
