Job summary

CSS in Colchester is seeking an experienced Quality Controller for food production. You will carry out quality checks, identify sub-standard items, and maintain accurate quality records on a four-day on/four-day off shift. Qualifications

• Previous Quality Control experience within Food Manufacturing, Food Processing or Fresh Produce is highly desirable.
• Experience checking products on a fast-moving production or packing line.
• A good eye for detail and the ability to identify defects quickly.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Basic to good Microsoft Excel/computer skills.
• Accurate and confident when completing paperwork and quality records.
• Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines.
• A good understanding of Food Hygiene and Food Safety is advantageous.

We are looking for experienced Quality Controllers with a background in Food Manufacturing, Food Processing or Fresh Produce

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality checks on products throughout the production and packing process.
• Identify and remove sub-standard, damaged or out of specification products.
• Accurately complete quality control sheets, production records and other relevant documentation.
• Record quality issues clearly and report any concerns to the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and company procedures.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous Quality Control experience within Food Manufacturing, Food Processing or Fresh Produce is highly desirable.
