Job summary

Allicio Nutrition is hiring a QC Technician to verify on-line quality checks across all production lines. The role supports a zero-defect policy and acts as the quality decision point for non-conformances.

There is no on-site laboratory; QA handles testing via contract labs, and the role focuses on checks, records, and escalation on shifts. The position requires strong attention to detail, GMP knowledge, and the ability to coach teams on standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment (1–3 years preferred).
• Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene; Level 3 desirable.
• GMP, hygiene standards and factory compliance knowledge.
• Numerate and literate with ability to complete accurate records.
• Understanding of in-process checks (seal integrity, weight control, coding, labelling).
• Level 2 HACCP certification held.
• Experience in QA/QC roles within food manufacturing.
• Awareness of standards such as BRCGS Food Safety.
• Experience in blended powder or dry ingredients manufacturing.
• Exposure to internal audits or verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Verify start-up checks before each line runs and hourly checks across all lines.
• Escalate grey area stoppages with samples/photos; record decisions and stock disposition.
• Maintain complete, accurate in-process QC verification records.
• Maintain traceability between checks, batches and finished product.
• Support QA with audits and documentation during inspections.
• Raise non-conformances for check failures and zero-defect breaches.
• Support root cause analysis and CAPA verification for defects.
• Trend failures by line/shift/product to spot risks.
• Coach production teams on check standards and GMP.
