Job summary

PrepWorld is seeking a Quality Assurance Technologist for night shifts to ensure all products and processes meet food safety, legality, authenticity, and quality standards.

The role involves monitoring CCPs, conducting daily GMP checks, recording QA activities, and supporting the Print Room and taste testing processes. A proactive, well-organised team player with strong English communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and uphold all food safety, quality, and legal requirements.
• Assess the quality of fruit throughout production to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
• Verify CCPs to ensure all critical limits are met.
• Carry out daily checks on factory processes and procedures to ensure GMP compliance.
• Complete QA paperwork to record daily tasks, checks, and audits.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and challenge non-conformance where required.
• Identify and report quality, food safety, or compliance concerns to QA Supervisors or Customer Technical Team.
• Create new programmes in metal detectors and check weighers, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Conduct internal audits including CCP, GMP, Fabrication, Glass and Hard Plastic, and other assessments.
• Collect and register product samples for microbiological testing.
• Follow sampling plan to take and register swabs, air plates, and water samples.
• Follow all personal hygiene practices and report non-conformance.
• Maintain an organised, tidy working environment in Technical Office and production areas.
• Retrieve and collate documentation to support traceability requests.
• Support Print Room operations as required.
• Conduct daily Taste Panels with the Taste Panel Coordinator.
• Identify and suggest improvements.
• Demonstrate a customer-focused approach in all activities.
• Provide support to the wider Technical Team when needed.
