Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson UK) is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our technical team, ensuring consistent quality of concrete, asphalt and quarry products across UK sites. The role involves sampling, testing and specimen prep in line with British and European standards, working with operations, technical and commercial teams to drive quality improvements.

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Conduct sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation of concrete, asphalt, and aggregate products.
• Carry out testing activities in accordance with British and European standards and company procedures.
• Support investigations into product quality concerns and site-related issues.
• Work with operations and technical teams to identify and implement improvements.
• Assist with concrete, asphalt, and aggregate testing programmes.
• Undertake preliminary investigations at plants and customer sites.
• Review product consistency, water demand, site practices, and delivery processes.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Near Hit reports where appropriate.
• Support the transportation and management of test specimens.
• Provide technical support to operational teams, commercial colleagues, and customers.
• Challenge unsafe behaviours and promote a strong safety and quality culture.
• Contribute to the effective and cost-efficient manufacture of products across the business.
