Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Technician to join our technical team. You will perform sampling, testing and specimen preparation to ensure consistent quality across concrete, asphalt and quarry products.

You will work across multiple sites, supporting safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with operations, technical and commercial colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sampling, field testing and specimen preparation of concrete, asphalt and aggregate products.
• Perform testing in line with British and European standards and procedures.
• Assist investigations into product quality concerns and site issues.
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to implement improvements.
• Support testing programmes for concrete, asphalt and aggregates.
• Undertake preliminary investigations at plants and customer sites.
• Review product consistency, water demand and delivery processes.
• Raise NCRs and Near Hit reports where appropriate.
• Provide technical support to operational teams, commercial colleagues and customers.
