Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Quality Control Technician (QCT) to support the Sizewell C project, ensuring materials meet stringent quality and safety standards across concrete, aggregates, asphalt and related products.

Working with operations, contractors and technical specialists, you will conduct tests, inspect materials, and maintain accurate records. A strong eye for detail and commitment to compliance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, materials testing or laboratory work within construction materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
• Ability to interpret procedures, specifications and technical information.
• Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory and field testing of concrete, aggregates, asphalt and related products.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and verify against specifications.
• Prepare samples and perform slump tests and compressive strength testing.
• Produce detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly to teams.
