Join an exciting, rapidly growing, BRCGS AA+ accredited SME Food Manufacturing business with a strong reputation of supply to well-known UK Food service and UK retail markets.

About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Officer to join our Team.

Primarily, this role is to be part of the Quality and Technical team on site. From time to time there will be a requirement to work closely with Commercial and Operations.

Training will be provided to adapt to our technical systems.

We offer family friendly hours of work. The hours for this role are 9:30am – 4.30pm, Monday - Friday.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Completing traceability
2. Label generation and checks against product specifications
3. Working with in-house systems to generate product specifications
4. Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager as required
5. Ensuring that launched products are tested/evaluated at the end of life against the routine testing plan
6. Nutritional Product Specification Formulation, reviews and updates
7. Updating and improving Quality Management Systems

What Are We Looking For?

1. Food industry experience preferred
2. Allergen knowledge and practical application preferred
3. Experience with BRCGS quality management systems preferred
4. Good planning and organisational skills - able to co-ordinate projects against strict timelines
5. Ability to multitask
6. Attention to detail
7. Hardworking and the ability to make decisions when necessary
8. Proactive approach, thinking ‘outside of the box’ and not just acting on instruction
9. Microsoft IT skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook - essential
