Join Oddbox, a company committed to reducing food waste and promoting sustainability. We aim to transform how our customers cook and eat with fresh, sustainable produce, and we need innovative minds to help us grow and achieve our mission.

The Role:

As part of an onsite team of four, the Quality Coordinator will be a key link between Oddbox and our co-packing partner. You will ensure our products meet high standards of quality, enabling us to deliver our boxes across the UK. This involves coordinating quality assurance processes, contributing to continuous improvement, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality offerings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assessments of raw materials at our co-packing site, providing in-depth quality assurance analysis.
  • Track and compare performance of growers, products, and seasons.
  • Undertake shelf life and cut testing, and contribute to supplier feedback and analysis.
  • Assess all packaging used by suppliers and provide feedback.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Oddbox team and make decisions on stock use.
  • Participate in project work, testing, and trials.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in quality assurance or control within the fresh produce industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about fighting food waste and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Proactive and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities.

This Role Might Not Suit You If:

  • You prefer roles with minimal cross-functional interaction.
  • You are uncomfortable with evolving processes and prefer stable environments.
  • You lack interest in the food industry and quality standards.
  • You hesitate to take initiative in improving quality systems.

Our Inclusive Recruitment Process:

  • Initial screening with the Quality Team Leader – 30 minutes.
  • Site visit – approximately 90 minutes.
  • Presentation and interview with the Quality Team Leader & Technical Manager.
  • Meet the team.
  • Job offer.

Well-Being and Benefits: We believe annual leave is a right, not just a benefit. We offer five extra days of annual leave (33 days including bank holidays), four "not-sick" days, and two volunteering days each year. We provide a £300 self-service L&D budget and promote peer-to-peer learning. Well-being support is available through YuLife, and you can enjoy discounts on Oddbox products.
