Job summary

E3 Recruitment is sourcing a Quality Control Manager for a global chemical manufacturer in Leek, UK. The role leads the QC function, oversees laboratory operations, and drives compliance and continuous improvement across the site.

The successful candidate will manage QC resources, ensure regulatory alignment, and support supplier quality initiatives within a high-quality, safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage the site QC system and laboratory operations to ensure compliant testing and release of materials.
• Oversee QC resources, equipment maintenance, consumables, and budget planning.
• Develop and maintain QC team capability via coaching and training and manage the QC competency matrix.
• Manage product and raw material specifications and concession processes for compliance.
• Support supplier approval activities and collaboration to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate investigations and timely resolution of customer complaints with effective CAPA.
• Support the ISO 14001 EMS and internal audit programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QC team to ensure safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement across the site and resolve quality issues.
• Manage laboratory resources and testing to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to maintain material quality and specifications.
