Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd seeks a Quality Control Manager for a chemicals operation in Staffordshire. The role leads the QC team at the manufacturing facility and drives laboratory operations, testing, and compliance.

The position is a permanent, on-site role ideal for someone stepping up from a QC Team Leader or Supervisor to management and capable of coaching team members while managing specifications, concessions, and customer complaints with a focus on timely resolution.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for QC System and Lab Operations for the site.
• Includes testing and inspection requirements for all raw materials, products, intermediates, returns, waste, environmental requirements, preparing samples, plus equipment servicing and supply needs.
• Support customer complaints process to they are closed off in a timely manner.
• Coaching and training to ensure analyst competence - ownership of the QC Competency Matrix.
• Ensuring resource balanced appropriately to support plant needs.
• Monthly and annual budget reviews and forecasting for QC needs.
• Support the competency management system for QC elements, for site personnel.
• Management of Product Specifications and Inspection Results information
• Management of Raw Material Specifications
• Responsible for product and raw material concessions.
• Support for Customer complaints
• Support the Supplier approval with respect to raw materials.

Our client is a market leader in the manufacture speciality chemicals. They are seeking an ambitious Quality Control Manager to lead their QC team at their manufacturing facility based in Staffordshire.
