Job summary

gap technical are proud to be representing a manufacturing business in their search for a QC Inspector to work at their facility near Welwyn Garden City.

Role focuses on reading engineering drawings, performing dimensional checks on aerospace components, and signing C of C. Requires 3+ years in aerospace inspection, hands-on metrology skills, and knowledge of AS9102 FIRs. Training provided for C of C duties.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
• Experience with handheld measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical sheets.
• Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Proficient in the use of handheld measuring devices including callipers, gauges, micrometres etc.
• Record non-conformances in a descriptive manner.
• Signing C of C (training provided)
• Completing first off and final inspection.

Person Specification

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
• Use of handheld measuring equipment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies
• Knowledge of CMM
• Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
