Job summary

Tata Chemicals Europe is seeking a proactive Quality Officer to support a compliant and continuously improving Quality Management System across the site(s). The role focuses on sustaining regulatory compliance, managing QMS processes, and driving quality improvements.

Travel to other sites within the UK is required; a full clean UK driving license is essential. You will work with the QA team to ensure coverage and timely release of products while liaising with customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with 3+ years in a quality role.
• Experience in QA systems for food/chemical/pharma and audits.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, BRC, GMP and FEMAS and MHRA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient IT skills and data/reporting experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Independent or team-working capability.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety.
• Health and safety knowledge in chemical/pharma environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and support to line management and employees across the business regarding compliance with quality standards, including internal management of change and external changes to standards to ensure compliance.
• Support the deployment of QA processes: customer complaints, internal and supplier audits, document control, CAPA, management review and quality review processes, release of product.
• Collaborate with QA Officer at the British Salt plant to ensure full coverage and support for the business.
• Support management of quality-related KPIs, systems and processes to report and act on performance issues and trends.
• Drive improvements across the QMS including leading quality improvement teams and projects using appropriate tools.
• Liaise with customers, accreditation bodies and suppliers for TCEL product registrations and customer satisfaction.
