Job description

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Compliance Officer to play a pivotal role in driving excellent quality, regulatory compliance, and improved outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Working under the strategic direction of the Head of Safeguarding, Quality and Governance, you will undertake essential service reviews and thematic audits across our sites. Your primary focus is to ensure our services consistently meet statutory requirements, Care Quality Commission regulations, and internal best practice guidance.

In this role, you will conduct proportionate, fair, and evidence-based compliance audits aligned with our internal quality frameworks. You will routinely assess and analyse information from a range of sources to effectively identify trends, manage risks, and pinpoint areas for development. Engagement is central to this position, requiring you to work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including family members and commissioners, to collect robust evidence as part of the audit process. You will ensure that all judgements made are evidence-based and informed by the analysis of a broad range of information sources.

Communication and accountability are vital as you report directly to the Quality and Compliance Lead on progress and outcomes from audits, while swiftly escalating areas of risk as required. You will prepare, deliver, and report in an effective and focused manner to ensure that feedback to key stakeholders details clear audit findings and required actions. Furthermore, you will use evidence of practice to support the development and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures across the organisation. You will also attend and contribute to all relevant meetings, and when directed, become involved in reviewing formal complaints and serious incidents using best practice methods. Above all, you will ensure that the people we support are placed at the heart of service delivery and that all desired outcomes perfectly align with Hesley Group values.

About You

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in adult social care along with a deep understanding of CQC regulations and statutory compliance frameworks. You are an analytical thinker who enjoys digging into data from multiple sources to identify trends, mitigate risks, and spot areas for service development. Your exceptional communication skills allow you to write clear, focused reports and confidently present evidence-based findings to key stakeholders. Most importantly, you are a values-driven professional who naturally puts the people we support at the heart of everything you do, maintaining a passionate commitment to improving outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Essential:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and Regulatory Standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding in respect of current adult protection, process and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current best practice in social care for adults and children,
  • particularly those with a learning disability and autism.
  • Understanding of quality assurance process and systems relevant to risk, practice and quality.
  • Ability to analyse and assess levels of compliance, and maintain effective systems to support the organisation in continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Experience of contributing to, devising, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Experience of the design or delivery and preparation of management information.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Qualification relevant to adults or willingness to undertake appropriate training.
  • GCSE or equivalent standard in Maths and English (Level 4 or above).
