Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking a quality-focused individual to monitor and uphold GMP and product standards at our Humberstone Road production site. You will work with the QA Manager and Operations to ensure all products meet specifications, legal requirements, and quality benchmarks.

The role involves night shifts (Sunday–Thursday, 22:00–06:00) and requires Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification, auditing experience, and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality auditing and internal auditing.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Intermediate HACCP.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in a chilled environment, ideally with fish products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain quality and technical requirements within the factory.
• Ensure all raw materials, processed and finished products conform to specification.
• Carry out quality checks at set intervals, reporting any non-conformances promptly.
• Conduct customer benchmarking panels, shelf-life testing, consistency checks and sensory reviews, inputting results into customer systems.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing.
• Support customer audits and visits.
• Work closely with Production and NPD teams to maintain technical compliance and smooth site operations.
• Drive right-first-time behaviours across multi-disciplined teams.

Job description

Join our team at Humberstone Road and play a key role in maintaining food safety and quality standards across our production site.

Role Overview

We are looking for a quality-focused individual to monitor and uphold GMP and product standards at every stage of production, from intake to dispatch. Working closely with the QA Manager and Operations team, you will ensure all products are manufactured and packed to specification, meeting food safety and legal requirements.

Pay: £16.21 per hour
Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 2200-0600

Key Duties

• Lead and maintain quality and technical requirements within the factory.
• Ensure all raw materials, processed and finished products conform to specification.
• Carry out quality checks at set intervals, reporting any non-conformances promptly.
