Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking a Quality Auditor for our Annan site. The role focuses on food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across the operation, with emphasis on ensuring material and product quality, legality, and safety.

The post holder will work within the Technical team and contribute to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 Food Hygiene and Level 3 HACCP (beneficial), have quality auditing experience, and be skilled in communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming raw materials and ingredients ensuring they meet internal specifications.
• Carry out sampling and testing of raw materials.
• Ensure that weight and temperature measuring equipment is properly calibrated and report issues to Technical manager promptly.
• Perform regular routine audits on site in line with procedures and customer requirements.
• Report any non-conformance issues to Line Manager.
• Ensure internal non-conformances are investigated thoroughly and efficiently to ensure closure.
• Carry out certain process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
• Ensure all raw material, work in progress and finished product are correctly stored, labelled and stock rotated, including checking in chills; ensure non-conformances are dealt with timely.
• Conduct customer complaint investigations when requested/required.

Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Auditor is a highly motivated pro-active skilled individual with food safety and quality at the heart of everything they do. They can optimise their daily routine of checking and assuring quality, authenticity, legality and safety standards across the site. This role is on our afternoon shift.

Shift Details: Morning Shift Monday to Thursday 05.30 to 13.45 Fridays 05.30 to12.30

Your Key Responsibilities

• Check incoming raw materials and ingredients ensuring they meet our internal specification.
• Carry out sampling and testing of raw materials
• Ensuring that weight and temperature measuring equipment is properly calibrated and issues reporting to Technical manager without unreasonable delays.
• Performing regular routine audits on site in line with procedures and customer requirements.
• Reporting any non-conformance issues to Line Manager
• Ensure internal Non-conformances are investigated thoroughly and efficiently to ensure closure.
• Carry out certain process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
