A seafood processing company in Grimsby is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to ensure food safety and quality during production. This role involves auditing raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining the Quality Management System. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and experience with food safety regulations. The position follows a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern from 10 am to 10 pm.

New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. Job Purpose:

To ensure the food safety, quality, and legality of products produced during the shift, as part of the company's due diligence and HACCP controls.

Responsible for:

The auditing of raw materials, ingredients, finished products, and manufacturing processes within the assigned production area.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Assist in implementing new products or changes to existing lines, including documentation and liaising with production, and controlling product labelling.
  • Ensure compliance with current BRC/MSC standards, retailer COPs, and Local Authority requirements at the factory level.
  • Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System to ensure ongoing factory compliance.
  • Monitor hygiene standards through audits, assisting the site Quality Manager in maintaining high standards.
  • Perform tasks such as pre-operational hygiene audits, scale verification, temperature checks, intake and dispatch control, paperwork auditing, document control, organoleptic tasting, microbiological sampling, water testing, CCP verification, GMP audits, and updating KPI reports.

The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, from 10 am to 10 pm.
