Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a Quality Auditor to safeguard food safety and quality on production lines. You will carry out daily inspections, audits, and checks to ensure adherence to procedures, and you will maintain accurate records for internal and external audits.

The role requires Level 2 HACCP and Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene, strong numeracy and communication skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Level 2 HACCP and Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety in food production.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-focused approach – able to work under pressure.
  • A true team player who can challenge poor practice and drive high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Be the guardian of food safety and quality on production lines.
  • Carry out daily inspections, checks, and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Spot and solve issues quickly to keep production flowing.
  • Conduct checks on packaging, labelling, weights, seals, metal detectors, and more.
  • Maintain accurate records that support our technical team and audits.
  • Encourage best practice in hygiene, GMP and Clean As You Go.
  • Work with the Technical Manager and wider team to drive improvements.
  • Champion a safe working environment by following all H&S procedures.
  • Report hazards and help investigate any incidents.
  • Lead by example in safe and responsible behaviour.

Job Title: Quality Auditor

Location: The Compleat Food Group, Wimblington Drive, Milton Keynes, MK6 4AH

Salary: £31,000 per annum

Hours: 4on 2off, 5:30 - 14:00, 37.3 hours a week

Reporting to: Technical Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Quality Auditor, you’ll:

  • Be the guardian of food safety & quality on our production lines.
  • Carry out daily inspections, checks, and audits to ensure compliance with procedures.

What We’re Looking For
