Cranswick Country Foods is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician at our Eye site. The role involves on-site QA duties in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility with a maternity cover contract.

You will perform hygiene audits, manage corrective actions, and ensure paperwork accuracy across production lines. Hourly pay ranges with attendance bonuses, potential overtime, and pension contributions are provided.

Qualifications

• Check online verifier functioning and resolve issues.
• Perform GMP, fabrication and process control audits to ensure compliance.
• Verify production runs meet product specifications through documented checks.

Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is hiring at our brand new, purpose-built processing facility in Eye, Suffolk.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to start or progress their career in the food industry and work for one of the largest integrated poultry businesses in the UK, playing your part in helping us feed the Nation!

As part of our exciting expansion project we are now recruiting for a maternity cover for our QA position,

1) Working 4 days a week on a 3 week rotation 06:10-17:10

2) Working Monday-Friday, 17:10-01:40

Job requirements of QA:

• Troubleshooting - ‘Walking the factory floor’ to identify any issues ahead of them arising and taking appropriate action. Dealing with issues as and when required.
• Managing Corrective actions - making sure corrective actions are completed within appropriate timescales and that the relevant documents have been completed, e.g. hold log, non-conformance log. Reporting any complex issues to QA Supervisor or QA Manager.
• Audit paperwork - checking the production paperwork has been completed correctly by production staff (Checking production line paperwork)
• Hygiene Audits, micro swabbing and micro sampling product
• Checking the ‘online’ verifier and dealing with any issues
• Formal GMP, Fabrication and Process Control Audits
• Conduct documented checks that a % of the production run is within product specification
• Opportunity to work an overtime outside of your standard hours and potential career progression across other technical departments

What you will need:

• Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
• Be able to work additional hours as overtime may be required
• Ideally have experience of working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• Have a good level of both written and verbal English
• Ideally have Level 2 Food Hygiene/Safety certification

Pay and benefits:

• Hourly Rate - £15.46 per hour including weekly attendance bonus
• Hourly Rate - £16.22 per hour including weekly attendance bonus
• Overtime - time and a third after basic hours
• Pension - 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions
