Job summary
Cranswick Country Foods Eye, Suffolk is seeking an Engineering Stores Operative to join our established Stores team. You will be responsible for the stores department within Engineering and play a key role in receiving, checking, storing and issuing parts to production.
This full-time, on-site role runs 05:30–17:30 on a rotating pattern; you will maintain accurate stock records, liaise with purchasing and production, and ensure a clean, safe stores area.

- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills for stock control systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and book in deliveries against purchase orders
- Store materials safely and in an organised manner
- Pick and issue parts to the production team as required
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts
- Liaise with purchasing and production teams regarding stock levels
- Prepare goods for dispatch where required
- Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and compliant with health & safety standards

Job requirements of an Engineering Stores operative:We are looking for a Engineering Stores operative to join our established Stores team at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for the stores department within Engineering.
Shift Pattern – 05.30-17.30, working 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off on a fortnightly rotation.
- Receive, check, and book in deliveries against purchase orders
- Store materials safely and in an organised manner
- Pick and issue parts to the production team as required
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts
- Liaise with purchasing and production teams regarding stock levels
- Prepare goods for dispatch where required
- Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and compliant with health & safety standards.
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills for stock control systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Rate of Pay £29,000-£31,000 depending on experience
