Job summary

Product Quality Assurance Technician – to £35.5k

We’re looking for a Product Quality Assurance Technician to join a busy, fast-paced fresh produce operation, helping to ensure every product leaving site meets the highest standards of quality, legality and food safety.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with QA experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce who enjoys being hands‑on and working closely with production teams.

The Role

As part of the Quality team, you’ll be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the packing process, carrying out checks, maintaining accurate records and supporting investigations into any quality issues. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products are packed, labelled and released to the highest standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
• Monitoring packing line standards and identifying quality or labelling issues.
• Ensuring product specifications and documentation are up to date and correctly followed.
• Supporting shelf‑life assessments, taste panels and product evaluations.
• Assisting with investigations into non‑conformances and customer complaints.
• Working closely with Production, Line Leaders and the QA team to drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a food manufacturing or fresh produce QA role (soft fruit experience is highly desirable).
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work around production requirements.
• Someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
