Job summary

Tailor Made Resources is partnering with a successful Fresh Produce supplier in West Sussex to recruit a Product Quality Assurance Technician. You will join a committed QA team and gain hands-on experience in QC intake, product management, and quality control across fresh produce and packaging.

You will monitor labelling, specification documents, and packaging standards, support taste panels and shelf-life checks, and collaborate with QA Manager and production to drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in QC/QA/Product roles within Fresh Produce.
• Familiar with retail quality standards and packaging.
• Driven and dedicated to quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Check and record quality of raw material products.
• Ensure all products are labeled correctly.
• Ensure correct version of specifications and documents is used.
• Monitor packing line standards and report quality issues.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated on schedule.
• Support taste panels, shelf-life assessments and product checks.
• Communicate with QA Manager, Production, Line Leaders and other departments regarding quality concerns and improvements.

We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry. The position of Product Quality Assurance Technician will work with a committed & energetic team, gaining the opportunity to learn and develop QC Intake / Product Management knowledge to begin a successful career within the industry.

Reporting to the Product Quality Coordinator, the position of Product Quality Assurance Technician will be based at a facility in West Sussex and will work as an integral part of a quality team managing the QC intake and allocation of fresh produce / fruit.

Responsibilities

• Checking and recording quality of the raw material product.
• Ensuring all the products are labelled correctly.
• Ensuring that correct version of specifications and documents is used.
• Monitor packing line standards and report any issues relating to quality, foreign body risks, packaging defects or labelling errors
• Making sure that all equipment used is maintained in a good state and calibrated in correct intervals.
• Support taste panels, shelf-life assessments and product checks where applicable
• Communicate effectively with QA Manager, Production, Line Leaders and other departments regarding quality concerns and improvements

Requirements

• An experienced QC/QA/Product focused individual with quality / technical / QC / QA gained from the Fresh Produce sector
• Fresh Produce exposure would be ideal
• Knowledge of the quality standards & product quality expected by retail customers
• Drive, passion and dedication is key for success in this position

Salary; Up to £35,500k + excellent Benefits

The post holder will need to be flexible with their working hours covering both day and night shifts and duties to the seasonal nature of the business and operating 7 days a week. There may be scope during quieter times to work in other areas of the business e.g. farming operations.
