An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining the highest standards of product safety, legality, and quality by supporting day-to-day Quality Assurance activities and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Inspect and approve goods inwards, raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
– Monitor and control Critical Control Points (e.g., raw material intake, sieving, metal detection).
– Prepare and commission samples for external lab analysis; enter results into SAP.
– Support tea tasting sessions and perform blend build checks.
– Monitor GMP standards and ensure hygiene compliance across production areas.
– Investigate and act on non-conformances; escalate issues appropriately.
– Assist in preparing for audits (IFS, Organic, Internal) and support new product development projects.
– Accurately document and maintain quality records in line with QMS procedures.
About You:
– At least 2 years’ experience in a QA role within the food industry.
– Knowledge of IFS, BRC, or similar food safety standards.
– Experience with SAP and strong Microsoft Office skills.
– Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
– Sound understanding of production and warehouse processes.
– Confident in identifying quality and safety issues and implementing corrective actions.
