Alexander Steele is delighted to be working exclusively in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business that is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to join their site in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager seeking a new challenge.

The role:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager will drive a culture of quality assurance, GMP, and continuous improvement throughout the business. You will coordinate and maintain activities to ensure all food is safe, legal, and meets high-quality standards for the business and customers.

• Manage and develop the Quality team.
• Lead the HACCP team and maintain the HACCP plan.
• Ensure the site is audit-ready and the QMS is up to date.
• Support BRC and third-party audits.
• Conduct internal and traceability audits; ensure timely corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Manage site calibration and pest control.
• Implement robust quality checks across the factory.
• Investigate complaints and product non-conformances; implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with product labelling regulations.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and reporting as agreed with the Technical Manager.

The candidate:

• At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
• HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certification.
• Lead Auditor or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of BRC standards.
