The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to take responsibility for the creation, maintenance, and improvement of all documentation and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), acting as the catalyst for compliance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, including compliance with the Human Medicines Act 2012 (and any applicable Amendments) and within the scope of GDP, and/or any other applicable regulation/standard. You will collaborate closely with various colleagues, teams, and Senior Managers including the RP/RPi and licence holder, ensuring seamless communication and actions to support the business and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Wholesale Operations Manager to ensure seamless communication and drive continuous improvement through regular self-inspections and risk assessments of operational activities.

QMS Management:

  • Manage the Quality Assurance Administrator and work with the RP/RPi to ensure the QMS is fit for purpose, ensuring all documentation is accurate, legible, contemporaneous, original, and attributable.

Non-conformance Management:

  • Analyse non-conformances and manage deviation reporting, corrective actions, and preventative actions in collaboration with the RP/RPi and Wholesale Operations Manager (WOM).

Promote a Quality Culture:

  • Foster a culture of quality and compliance across the company through effective training and support in administration.

Additional Duties:

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties, as required by the RP/RPi, Licence Holder or WOM, to support operations.

Specific QA Oversight:

  • Oversee all QA tasks and ensure relevant documentation and administration are completed.
  • Manage meetings, scheduling, and preparation related to QA operations.
  • Conduct continuous QMS reviews and lead annual QMS document reviews.
  • Manage document control processes and oversee Change Control Management.
  • Lead risk assessment management and ensure corrective action plans are executed.
  • Coordinate internal self-inspections, deviation management, and CAPA implementation.
  • Oversee supplier and customer verification processes.
  • Manage the Revoked and Suspended Register, MHRA drug alert management, and temperature device recalibration.
  • Supervise the new starter procedure, data submissions, UK trade info checks, and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee pest control management, third-party installations, room temperature mapping, packaging & route validations.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is essential. Experience in managing QMS, regulatory compliance, and quality control is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of GDP, QMS, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing audits, risk assessments, and documentation control.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in quality management, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Must have authorisation to work in the UK (Essential)
