About the role

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and contribute to the Old Oak Common Station project.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead the Quality Assurance team, ensuring the project is delivered in full compliance with HS2, stakeholder requirements, and project commitments. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and assuring all quality-related activities, driving compliance with project procedures, and proactively resolving assurance issues to support successful project delivery.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead and manage the QA team, setting objectives and driving high performance.
  • Plan and deliver Quality Engineering support for inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain Construction Assurance requirements and QMS documentation.
  • Monitor and report on Quality KPIs, driving improvements.
  • Promote a strong quality culture through campaigns, lessons learned, and collaboration.
  • Act as the primary client contact for construction assurance, building strong relationships.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, training, and quality management across all work packages.
  • Support supply chain assessments and lead investigations into quality incidents.
Who we're looking for
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Major civil engineering project experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international standards, Codes of Practice, and Quality Management principles.
  • Proven track record leading and managing teams in quality-focused roles.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Quality Management (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
  • CQI Chartered Member (CQP MCQI) — or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detailed, methodical approach.
  • Resilient, self-driven, and highly organised, with a “make it happen” attitude.
  • Deep technical knowledge relevant to civil/infrastructure works.
  • Experience within a project-based environment, ideally large infrastructure projects.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
  • Experience with systems such as Business Collaborator, eB, ProjectWise, or similar.
  • Field management system experience.
  • Passion for operational excellence, customer focus, and teamwork.
  • Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
